MARLON TEIXEIRA

Where are you currently based?

In my body, mind, and soul. I have houses in Brazil and Bali, but I’m always traveling, so I can’t say I’m based anywhere. I’ve been globetrotting—enjoying my fashion career, chasing waves, and exploring some of the most beautiful places in the world. After so many years on the road, I had to find a home within myself. I needed to feel at home in my heart, so it doesn’t matter where I am. I’m grateful for my global family.

What’s the first thought that crosses your mind when you wake up?

A big smile. Laughing with myself for no reason. I learned that through therapy and yoga.

Coffee or tea?

Both.

Do you sing in the shower? If so, what was the last song?

Are you sure you want to know?! Hahahaha... This morning I had a Brazilian song stuck in my head—the one they play at the café near my house: “Eu sou de ninguém. Eu sou de todo mundo e todo mundo é meu também.”

Your face (and body) are known globally. Who photographed you first?

Mert & Marcus for Armani Jeans. They’re simply incredible. It was an amazing first experience working with them.

Did you ever imagine you’d become a model?

My gosh—still working on it! I never imagined being a model before it happened. But it’s definitely one of the greatest gifts life has given me—traveling the world and working with the most incredible creative people.

What do you enjoy most about modeling?

Telling stories without speaking. Every shoot, every runway is an expression—of emotion, attitude, art. I love the diversity of cultures and people in fashion, and how the industry keeps reinventing itself. Image may speak loudest, but authenticity, confidence, and intention are what truly leave a mark.

Any humbling memories from your first runway show?

Yes! After the show, people told me, “Wow, you walk so well—so strong, fast, powerful!” But honestly, I was super nervous and embarrassed. I was just walking fast to get off the runway as quickly as possible!

What accomplishment are you most proud of right now?

My little flower from the moon—my daughter.

A fictional hero?

Definitely, Bodhi from Point Break and Noah from The Notebook.

A heroine?

My mother.

If you had a superpower?

Love.

Do you read? What was your last book?

I do. The Four Agreements and The Secret Society.

A quote that speaks to you?

“I can do nothing for you but work on myself... you can do nothing for me but work on yourself.” –Ram Dass.

Talking or texting?

Talking.

How would you describe your personal style?

The vibe of the moment.

Motorcycle or car?

Motorcycle in Bali. Car everywhere else.

Grooming routine?

Sunscreen at the beach. Soap for the face. That’s it.

What do you think is the sexiest thing about you—and do others see it the same way?

People say it’s my humility and simplicity.

What advice would you give your younger self about life and confidence?

“Not knowing it was impossible, he went and did it anyway.” Be yourself—and go for it. You can.

What makes you truly happy?

My daughter’s smile. Breathing. Inner peace. The happiness of my loved ones. Getting barreled while surfing.

Dogs or cats?

Both.

What do you expect from your friends?

Honesty.

Your exercise routine?

I’d say whatever makes me sweat—yoga, surfing, Pilates, swimming, working out. I don’t always stick to a routine, but I stay active.

Your biggest flaw?

They say if you want to start a war, just speak your truth. My transparency sometimes makes me give too much of myself.

What quality do you most appreciate in a woman?

Authenticity. A woman who’s true to herself, confident in her choices, and doesn’t shape-shift to please others. Emotional intelligence, humor, kindness—those really stand out.

And in a man?

Honor and integrity. A man who keeps his word, respects others, and stays true even when no one’s watching. Also, sensitivity and the courage to be vulnerable.

A place to lose yourself?

Inside myself. In the ocean. In nature. Or in the body of someone I love.

What social issue matters most to you?

The lack of empathy—for people, for animals, for nature.

Friday or Sunday?

Sunday. Calm and fun.

Wine or beer?

Wine.

Favorite city?

That’s hard… but Bali.

Ocean or mountain?

I really love the ocean. But I’ll still climb that mountain, too.

Nighttime ritual? What do you wear to bed?

I pray. And wear loose clothes.

What makes a perfect man?

Perfection isn’t about being flawless. A perfect man is genuine—he respects others, takes responsibility, listens with empathy, and stays grounded in his values. He’s confident without arrogance, strong with kindness, and loves deeply while leaving room for growth.
